Researchers explored the biological function of mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase kinase 4 (MAP4K4) in radioresistant breast cancer cells using two MAP4K4 inhibitors. The authors reported that MAP4K4 inhibitors induced apoptosis through the accumulation of DNA damage by inhibiting DNA repair systems in radioresistant cells.
