Researchers determined the role of intestinal gastrin/cholecystokinin B receptor (CCKBR) on glucose absorption in the development of T2D. Intestinal epithelial cell-specific Cckbr knockout mice and control wild-type mice were fed normal diet or high fat diet to study the effect of intestinal gastrin/CCKBR on blood glucose levels.
