Researchers identified FcγRIIB as the key transporter mediating maternal immunoglobulin G (IgG) transfer across the mammary gland in mammals. Using constitutive and conditional knockout mice, they demonstrated that FcγRIIB deficiency impairs mammary IgG transfer.
