    TOP STORY

ZMYND8 Is a Master Regulator of 27-Hydroxycholesterol that Promotes Tumorigenicity of Breast Cancer Stem Cells

Using genetic mouse mammary tumor and human breast cancer models, researchers showed that the histone reader ZMYND8 was selectively expressed in breast CSCs (BCSCs) and promoted epithelial-mesenchymal transition, BCSC maintenance and self-renewal, and oncogenic transformation through its epigenetic functions, leading to breast tumor initiation.

β2-Microglobulin Maintains Glioblastoma Stem Cells and Induces M2-Like Polarization of Tumor-Associated Macrophages

Investigators demonstrated that β2-microglobulin promoted maintenance of stem-like neoplastic populations and reprogramed the tumor immune microenvironment to an anti-inflammatory, tumor-promoting state.

    Abstract

The Abnormal Expression of Circ-ARAP2 Promotes ESCC Progression through Regulating miR-761/FOXM1 Axis-Mediated Stemness and the Endothelial–Mesenchymal Transition

circRNAs differentially expressed in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and adjacent normal tissues were characterized via high-throughput sequencing.
