Researchers demonstrated that a highly conserved interferon-γ-activated inhibitor of translation (GAIT)-like motif located upstream of the GU-rich elements of HuR major polyadenylation site, interacted with constituents of the GAIT complex and affected HuR post-transcriptional expression regulation.
