In Vitro Production of Infectious Plasmodium falciparum Sporozoites

Plasmodium falciparum (Pf) sporozoites invaded human hepatocytes in culture and developed to mature liver-stage schizonts expressing Pf merozoite surface protein in numbers comparable to those manufactured in mosquitoes.
