KLF4-PFKFB3-Driven Glycolysis Is Essential for Phenotypic Switching of Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells

Scientists showed that KLF4 upregulation accompanied vascular smooth muscle cells’ phenotypic switching in atherosclerotic lesions. KLF4 enhanced the metabolic switch to glycolysis by increasing PFKFB3 expression.
