Scientists reported that cholecystokinin, a metabolic hormone best known for its role in signaling satiation and fat metabolism, was increased in the lungs of obese mice and that pharmacological blockade of cholecystokinin A receptor signaling reduced obesity-associated airway hyperresponsiveness.
