Scientists disrupted mouse suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) functions to investigate the role of SCN in cardiac dysfunction post-myocardial infarction (MI). They showed that SCN ablation significantly alleviated MI-induced cardiac dysfunction and fibrosis, and promoted angiogenesis.
