Alcam-A and Pdgfr-α Are Essential for the Development of Sclerotome-Derived Stromal Cells That Support Hematopoiesis

Scientists identified Alcama and Pdgfr-α as two essential transmembrane proteins in the process of stromal cell progenitors’ emergence from somite epithelial cells, their subsequent migration to become stromal cells, and the resulting structure and functionality of the caudal hematopoietic tissue niche.
