A population of IRF4+ T cells coexpressed the transcription factor BCL6 during Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) (Mtb) infection, and deletion of BCL6 in CD4+ T cells resulted in reduction of TFH-like cells, impaired localization within granuloma-associated lymphoid tissue, and increased Mtb burden.
