The authors investigated whether delivery of miR-124 through human Wharton’s jelly MSCs derived-exosomes (hWJMSC-Exo) could improve liver fibrosis. They established a six-week carbon tetrachloride-induced mouse model of liver fibrosis, then administered hWJMSC-Exo and miR-124-3p-enriched exosomes for three weeks.
