Kinetics of RTK Activation Determine ERK Reactivation and Resistance to Dual BRAF/MEK Inhibition in Melanoma

Scientists showed that the magnitude and duration of receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) activation determined ERK reactivation and persister development. Single-cell analysis revealed that only a small subset of melanoma cells exhibited effective RTK and ERK activation and developed persisters, despite uniform external stimuli.
