MicroRNA-223 Limits Murine Hemogenic Endothelial Cell Specification and Myelopoiesis

Researchers identified microRNA (miR)-223 as a negative regulator of murine hemogenic endothelial cell (EC) specification and endothelial-to-hematopoietic transition. Loss of miR-223 led to increased formation of hemogenic ECs and hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, which was associated with increased retinoic acid signaling.
