Gut Microbial Fatty Acid Isomerization Modulates Intraepithelial T Cells

The authors reported that both dietary factors and microbial factors influenced the level of gut linoleic acid isomers, and that conjugated linoleic acid in turn modulated a distinct population of CD4+ intraepithelial lymphocytes that expressed CD8αα in the small intestine.
