Androgen Receptor Is a Determinant of Melanoma Targeted Drug Resistance

The authors reported that androgen receptor (AR) activity was required for melanoma cell proliferation and tumorigenesis, and showed here that AR expression was markedly increased in BRAF/MEK inhibitor-resistant melanoma cells, and in sensitive cells soon after BRAFi exposure.
