Investigators evaluated the potential role of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from COPD subjects in lung cancer onset. Plasma-EVs were isolated by ultracentrifugation from heavy smoker volunteers with or without heavy smoker-EVs, and COPD and characterized following MISEV guidelines.
