The authors identified N-n-butyl haloperidol iodide (F2)-mediated nuclear accumulation of forkhead box O1 (FoxO1) is dependent on AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), as blockage of AMPK with compound C induced nuclear exit of FoxO1.
