Ferroptotic Alveolar Epithelial Type II Cells Drive TH2 and TH17 Mixed Asthma Triggered by Birch Pollen Allergen Bet v 1

Investigators identified ferroptosis of type II alveolar epithelial cells in mice with Bet v 1-induced asthma. Further analysis revealed that treatment with ferrostatin-1 reduced TH2/TH17-related inflammation and alleviated epithelial damage in mice with Bet v 1-induced asthma.
