Researchers identified that interleukin (IL)-1β signaling affects Inert naive CD4+ T (TN)cell characteristics, independent of tonic T cell receptor signaling, which also altered TN cell phenotypes. IL-1β reversibly attenuates the differentiation potential of TN cells toward Treg cells.
