Researchers found that speckle-type POZ protein (SPOP)n and ELK3 were an interacting partner. The interaction between SPOP and ELK3 resulted in increased ELK3 ubiquitination and destruction, assisted by checkpoint kinase-mediated ELK3 phosphorylation.
