Researchers showed that hepatocyte-restricted expression of a single chain c-Jun~Fra-2 protein, which functionally mimiced the c-Jun/Fra-2 AP-1 dimer, resulted in spontaneous HCC formation in c-Jun~Fra-2hep mice.
