Scientists investigated the molecular mechanisms of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and fibrosis and identified gene expression clusters that strongly correlated with fibrosis stage including four genes that have been found consistently across previously published transcriptomic studies on non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.
