Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Displays a Distinct Highly Methylated Genome

Scientists performed whole-genome bisulfite sequencing across ALL subtypes, leukemia cell lines and healthy hematopoietic cells, and showed that unlike most cancers, ALL samples exhibited CpG island hypermethylation but minimal global loss of methylation.
