Researchers investigated the correlation between celecoxib-induced endoplasmic reticulum stress and the effects of celecoxib against cell death signaling. Treatment of human colon cancer HCT116 cells with celecoxib reduced their viability and resulted in a loss of mitochondrial membrane potential.
