Scientists examined extracellular matrix (ECM) modifications to elucidate the mechanism underlying carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma tumorigenesis. RNA-sequencing and bioinformatic analysis of organoids showed that differentially expressed genes are highly enriched in ECM-associated terms.
