Fibrin Stiffness Regulates Phenotypic Plasticity of Metastatic Breast Cancer Cells

Investigators cultured circulating tumor cells (CTC)-like DU4475 triple negative breast cancer cells in mechanically tunable 3D fibrin hydrogel scaffolds. They showed that fibrin hydrogels supported DU4475 cell growth, resulting in spheroid formation.
