Investigators demonstrated that the receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa Β (NF-κB) (RANK) pathway mediated cytokine-induced rodent and human β cell death through RANK-tumor necrosis factor receptor–associated factor 6 interaction and induction of NF-κB activation.
