Progenitor Effect in the Spleen Drives Early Recovery via Universal Hematopoietic Cell Inflation
[Cell Reports] The authors uncovered the spatiotemporal dynamics of early active hematopoiesis, using a highly sensitive in vivo imaging system. They developed expanded common myeloid progenitors, which exhibited a gene expression pattern that selectively proliferated in the spleen and promoted hematopoietic expansion.

NLRP7 Maintains the Genomic Stability during Early Human Embryogenesis via Mediating Alternative Splicing
[Communications Biology] Investigators showed that NLRP7 knockout affected the genetic stability, resulting in increased DNA damage in both human embryonic stem cells and blastoids, making embryonic cells in blastoids more susceptible to apoptosis.

CRISPR Knock-In of a Chimeric Antigen Receptor into GAPDH 3’UTR Locus Generates Potent B7H3-Specific NK-92MI Cells
[Cancer Gene Therapy] Scientists established a novel type of CAR-NK cells by integrating CAR sequences into the GAPDH 3’UTR locus of NK-92MI cells, achieving site-specific integration of the CAR gene and allowing endogenous regulatory components to govern CAR expression.

p53-Loss Induced Prostatic Epithelial Cell Plasticity and Invasion Is Driven by a Crosstalk with the Tumor Microenvironment
[Cell Death & Disease] Using genetically engineered mice, researchers showed that Trp53 deficiency in Pten-null prostatic epithelial cells did not impact early cell proliferation and neoplasia formation, nor growth arrest, and senescence entry at a later time.

CPSF1 Inhibition Promotes Widespread Use of Intergenic Polyadenylation Sites and Impairs Glycolysis in Prostate Cancer Cells
[Cell Reports] Researchers found that the cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor (CPSF) complex factor CPSF1 was upregulated in patients with advanced prostate cancer, with high CPSF1 expression correlating with worse progression-free survival.

Hypusinated and Unhypusinated Isoforms of the Translation Factor eIF5A Exert Distinct Effects in Models of Pancreas Development and Function
[Journal of Biological Chemistry] Scientists utilized zebrafish and mouse models with inducible knockdowns of deoxyhypusine synthase and eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A (eIF5A) to investigate their roles in cellular growth.
