Scientists evaluated changes in urea cycle enzymes in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) patients and in two preclinical animal models mimicking this entity. Seventeen liver specimens from NAFLD patients were included for immunohistochemistry and gene expression analysis.
