Advanced Pathophysiology Mimicking Lung Models for Accelerated Drug Discovery

To establish models that mimic the lung complexity to different extents, we used five design components: cell type, membrane structure/constitution, environmental conditions, cellular arrangement, substrate, matrix structure and composition.
