Rubella Virus Tropism and Single-Cell Responses in Human Primary Tissue and Microglia-Containing Organoids

Scientists showed that in human brain slices, rubella virus predominantly infects microglia. By using an organoid-microglia model, they further demonstrated that the infection led to an interferon response in non-microglial cells.
