Investigators found that the human cells were clearly able to up-regulate HLA-DR and co-stimulatory molecules; were able to process protein antigen into fragments recognized by T cells; could enter lymph node T cell zones; and, in vitro, were able to present antigen to memory T cells, inducing proliferation and cytokine production.
