Differentiation of organoids significantly increased the expression of multiple cytochrome P450, phase II enzymes, liver biomarkers and hepatic transporters. The differentiated organoids were shown to exhibit increased sensitivity to midazolam and irinotecan, when compared to the undifferentiated organoids.
