Stretch Increases Alveolar Type 1 Cell Number in Fetal Lungs through ROCK-Yap/Taz Pathway

By manipulating ROCK pathway, scientists demonstrated that stretch-induced Yap/Taz activation promoted alveolar differentiation towards alveolar epithelial type 1 phenotype via ROCK activity.
