Mesenchymal Type Neuroblastoma Cells Escape ALK Inhibitors

Neuroblastoma cells can adopt a lineage committed adrenergic (ADRN) or an immature mesenchymal (MES) state. Investigators found that while ADRN cells resembled normal embryonal neuroblasts, MES cells resembled immature precursor cells which also lacked ALK expression.
