e%20preferentially%20expressed%20in%20therapy%20resistant%20bcCML%20cells%20and%20play%20a%20key%20role%20in%20bcCML.%20In%20particular%2C%20we%20focus%20on%20syndecan-1%2C%20whose%20deletion%20triggers%20defects%20in%20bcCML%20growth%20and%20propagation%20and%20markedly%20improves%20survival%20of%20transplanted%20mice.%20Further%2C%20live%20imaging%20reveals%20that%20the%20spatiotemporal%20dynamics%20of%20leukemia%20cells%20are%20critically%20dependent%20on%20syndecan%20signaling%2C%20as%20loss%20of%20this%20signal%20impairs%20their%20localization%2C%20migration%20and%20dissemination%20to%20distant%20sites.%20Finally%2C%20at%20a%20molecular%20level%2C%20syndecan%20loss%20directly%20impairs%20integrin%20%5Cu03b27%20function%2C%20suggesting%20that%20syndecan%20exerts%20its%20influence%2C%20at%20least%20in%20part%2C%20by%20coordinating%20integrin%20activity%20in%20bcCML.%20These%20data%20present%20a%20platform%20for%20delineating%20the%20biological%20underpinnings%20of%20leukemia%20stem%20cell%20function%2C%20and%20highlight%20the%20Sdc1-Itg%5Cu03b27%20signaling%20axis%20as%20a%20key%20regulatory%20control%20point%20for%20bcCML%20growth%20and%20dissemination.%22%2C%22date%22%3A%222020-11-26%22%2C%22language%22%3A%22en%22%2C%22DOI%22%3A%2210.1038%5C%2Fs41467-020-19782-x%22%2C%22ISSN%22%3A%222041-1723%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%5C%2F%5C%2Fwww.nature.com%5C%2Farticles%5C%2Fs41467-020-19782-x%22%2C%22collections%22%3A%5B%5D%2C%22dateModified%22%3A%222020-11-26T19%3A26%3A12Z%22%7D%7D%5D%7D
