In vitro data on C2C12 cells showed that TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) treatment significantly increased myogenin and MyHC and other hallmarks of myogenic differentiation, which were reduced by Dr5 (TRAIL receptor) silencing.
