Investigators established a novel bladder CSC/cancer-initiating cells (CICs) model from a bladder cancer cell line using an ALDEFLUOR assay. CSCs/CICs were isolated as aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH)-high cells and several aldehyde dehydrogenasehigh clone cells were established.
