The authors demonstrated that interdomain communication through small RNA–containing membrane vesicles was bidirectional and that miRNAs in extracellular vesicles secreted by human airway epithelial cells regulated protein expression, antibiotic sensitivity, and biofilm formation by P. aeruginosa.
