HIF-1α Promotes the Proliferation and Migration of Pulmonary Arterial Smooth Muscle Cells via Activation of Cx43

The authors suggested that HIF-1α, as an upstream regulator, promoted the expression of Connexin 43 (Cx43), and the HIF-1α/Cx43 axis regulated the proliferation and migration of pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells in hypoxia-induced pulmonary hypertension.
