Decidual NK Cells Kill Zika Virus–Infected Trophoblasts

Zika virus infection of trophoblasts caused endoplasmic reticulum stress, which made them decidual NK targets by down-regulating HLA-C/G, natural killer inhibitory receptor ligands that helped maintain tolerance of the semiallogeneic fetus.
