Researchers reported that β-glucan-trained macrophages from mice harboring a myeloid-specific deletion of the catalytic subunit of glutamate-cysteine ligase showed impaired GSH synthesis and decreased proinflammatory cytokine production in response to lipopolysaccharide challenge.
