Matrix Metalloproteinase 11 (MMP11) in Macrophages Promotes the Migration of HER2-Positive Breast Cancer Cells and Monocyte Recruitment through CCL2–CCR2 Signaling

Based on the immunohistochemical analysis of breast cancer tissues from 497 patients, the authors demonstrated that matrix metalloproteinase 11 (MMP11) expression in mononuclear inflammatory cells was an independent negative prognostic factor in breast cancer, whereas MMP11 expression in tumor cells and fibroblasts was not associated with patient survival.
